Members of PDK International have endorsed a request from the PDK Board of Directors to allow the board to enact organizational changes without seeking a vote of the membership for each action.
PDK’s new strategic direction requires a new governance structure that better reflects 21st-century nonprofit leadership. Although the regional approach to governance served the organization well in the past, the PDK board believes PDK now needs a board structure that provides appropriate oversight and accountability while allowing for maximum flexibility.
Because of this approval by the membership, the PDK Board of Directors will be able to shift board governance without seeking a vote of members for each change.
The change in the bylaws was effective immediately.
